Privacy Policy

This page explains our policy regarding any business or personal information we collect about you.

From time to time, you might be asked to submit information about yourself (e.g. name and email address etc) or your business (e.g. company name, address, telephone number) in order to receive information from us.

By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable us to provide you with the information you select. Whenever you provide such information, we will treat that information in accordance with this policy. Electro Motion will act in accordance with current legislation and aim to meet current Internet best practice.

Use and storage of your personal information

When you supply any personal information to Electro Motion we have legal obligations towards you in the way we deal with that data. We must collect the information fairly, that is, we must explain how we will use it (see the notices on particular webpages that let you know why we are requesting the information) and tell you if we want to pass the information on to anyone else. In general, any information you provide to us will only be used within Electro Motion. It will never be supplied to anyone outside Electro Motion without first obtaining your consent, unless we are obliged or permitted by law to disclose it. Also, if you post or send offensive or inappropriate content anywhere on or to www.electromotion.co.uk and we consider such behaviour to be serious and/or repeated, Electro Motion can use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop such behaviour. This may include informing relevant third parties such as your employer or e-mail provider about the content and your behaviour.

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met, or, in the case of mailing list membership you no longer wish to continue your registration as a member. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Access to your personal information

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that Electro Motion holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected. Please address requests to our usual business address which you will find on all pages on www.electromotion.co.uk

"Remember my details" facility

You will notice in various parts of the site that there is an option for the website to "remember" your details. This saves you extra time and effort when filling in enquiry forms, etc. The information that is "remembered" is NOT held by us - it is stored on your hard-drive in a small file called a "cookie".

When you select to have your details "remembered", we instruct your PC to store these details in a cookie file. Assuming that you did not visit www.electromotion.co.uk again, the file wouldremain on your hard-drive for one calendar month, after which it would no longer be accessed.
